The amazing colors and patterns in the Moroccan Seam Agate let me know it wanted a simple setting. I added a few fine silver (.999 silver) balls here and there along the sides of the stone, but the stone really speaks for itself. The colors made me think of glorious fall leaves, so there are a few cut out behind the stone. The bail is hand cut and riveted. The metal is sterling silver, with a fine silver bezel around the stone and fine silver decorative balls.
SIZE: This pendant measures about 2 inches long and 1 inch wide. It is sold without a chain.

PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): Moroccan Seam Agate is found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, which are primarily made up of basalt. Millions of years ago, agate formed in many of the cracks and seams in that basalt. It is famous for its brilliant colors and linear patterns. Agate in general is said to strengthen the body and mind as well as promote courage, and is supposed to facilitate the ability to discern truth.
