The Inspiration copper mine in Arizona is known for its exceptional Chrysocolla, which is no longer actively mined or collected. This beautiful stone is often a combination of translucent blue-turquoise Gem Silica with brighter turquoise colored Chrysocolla. The cabochon in this pendant really shows the beauty of these stones. The color and patterns of the stone definitely spoke to me of water, so I added watery silver ripples above the stone and darkened the background to add contrast for both the stone and the water elements.
The pendant is sterling silver, with fine silver (.999 silver) water elements and bezel around the stone. The bail is hand cut and riveted. This pendant is sold with an 18" sterling silver snake chain which can be removed and replaced if desired.
