This small pendant features a beautiful green Maw Sit Sit stone in a simple setting, designed to show off the stone. It has an elegant long and narrow shape. The setting is sterling silver with a fine silver (.999) bezel around the stone. The chain runs through two silver rings. To celebrate the spring-like color of the stone, I cut out a vine with two leaves in the back. This pendant is sold with an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain.
SIZE: This pendant measures just over 1 1/2 inches long and 3/8 inch wide. It is sold with an 18 inch chain.

PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): Maw Sit Sit is found in northern Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) on the slope of the Himalayan mountains. It gets its name from a village around which it is mined. It is sometimes called a type of jade, but it is not related to jade at all. It is actually a combination of various minerals that give it its brilliant green color, usually speckled or banded with black. It is said to bring joy, hope and is supposed to attract good luck.
