This wonderful stone made me think of water and so had to be paired with fish. The koi are hand cut of fine silver and gently hammered to indicate scales. I added fine silver "bubbles" alongside each fish. The cuff has been antiqued and polished to add contrast between the copper and silver.
The cabochon is technically a Copper Complex cabochon, which includes chrysocolla in the middle, green malachite on one side and a combination of minerals including a bit of quartz on the other side. These combinations occur in areas where copper is present.
SIZE: This cuff has an inside circumference of about 6 1/2 inches and an insided diameter of just over 2 1/4 inches (from side to side). Diameter from front to back is about 1 7/8 inches. Cuffs can be very slightly adjusted (no more than 1/4 inch at the very most). This adjustment should be done only once as squeezing and stretching will compromise the metal as well as the setting. See Caring for your Cuff for more information.
MATERIALS: Copper, Fine silver, Sterling silver, Copper Complex (chrysocolla, malachite, quartz)
PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): Chrysocolla is supposed to be a stone of communication. It is also considered a peaceful stone and it will help get rid of negative energies while encouraging compassion. Malachite is considered a protection stone; in particular, it helps protect from negative energies. It is also supposed to contribute to creativity and developing the intuition.
