Whether you're wearing a wooly knitted scarf, or a light loosely woven shawl, you'll want a pin to hold it closed. And if you don't wear shawls or scarves yourself, think of that special person in your life who does. This is the perfect gift to show how much you care for her - and it's never too early to start thinking of Christmas! This pin, or fibula, has a bronze back. I laid bronze wire radiating from the hole in the center to the outside of the circle. I covered the pin with silver dust, which I melted and fused to the bronze. Then I sanded the bronze wire so they show up against the wonderfully textured silver. The pin is also made of bronze, with a teardrop shaped rainbow moonstone set onto one end. The "pointy" end is rounded so it won't cut the threads of the shawl. This is meant for loosely woven or knit cloth where the pin can slide through holes in the weave.
