Each of these earrings begins with a twisted wire circle on top. Dangling from that fancy gleaming circle is a dark speckled green Serpentine bead with a corrugated sterling silver bead above and a little faceted Peridot bead below. I used a combination of copper and silver bead caps for a little color variation. Wires and ear wires are sterling silver.
SIZE: These earrings hang about 2 inches. The silver rings have a diameter of just under 1/2 inch. The Serpentine bead is 6mm (a bit smaller than 1/4 inch); the Peridot beads measure about 4x2mm. Each earring measures between 1 and 2 grams.

PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): Serpentine is supposed to balance mood swings and encourage the ability to solve conflicts by peaceful means. Peridot is said to be a stone of lightness that can help someone who is going through depression. It is supposed to balance the process of emotional release and foster emotional balance, security and inner peace. Peridot is August's birthstone.
