Seraphanite is a beautiful stone, with shimmery feather-like patterns, which is why it was given the name of an angel. The stone I used on this cuff made me think not only of feathers, but of green ferns unfurling in the spring. So I added fine silver (.999 silver) stylized ferns to both sides of the stone. The bottom layer of silver is hammered, antiqued and then polished to allow the silver "ferns" to stand out from the background.
Although the cuff has been hammered in order to harden the metal, it can become misshapen if it is stretched or squeezed. Please see Caring for your Cuff for more information on how to successfully adjust the size (but only by about 1/4 inch) and care for your cuff bracelet.
SIZE: This cuff has an inside circumference of about 7 inches. It can be slightly adjusted but no more than 1/4 inch. Once it has been adjusted it is best to not try adjusting again. The cuff band is about 5/8ths inch wide and about 1mm thick. Please see last photo for inside diameter measurements. The stone measures about 25x18mm (approximately 1 x 3.4 inches).
MATERIALS: Sterling silver, Fine silver, Seraphanite
PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): Saraphinite is considered a stone of spiritual enlightenment. It is supposed to encourage positive energy, help with detoxification (both physical and spiritual) and, interestingly, prevent snakebite.
