The shape and natural colors of this Rhyolite cabochon was the perfect mushroom cap. It is a soft gray, with fine veins of red and white. I set the stone in sterling silver, with a fine silver bezel. I gave the mushroom a hammered copper stem, and added two more mushrooms below, each with copper stems and silver caps. A swallow, which I sawed out by hand, flies behind the stone. Two jump rings act as a bail. This pendant is being sold with an 18 inch sterling silver rolo link chain.
SIZE: This pendant measures about 2 1/8 inches long and 1 inch wide. The chain is 18 inches. It can be switched out for a different chain by the owner.

PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): Rhyolite is considered to be a stone of change, inner strenth and emotional balance. It is said to help faciliate change and progress, but also help one to be calm when facing challenges. It is also supposed to give one a stronger connection with the earth.
