These earrings would be wonderful for the holidays, but can be worn at any time of the year for a touch of elegance and beauty. Gleaming fancy twisted wire rings are at the top. Deep red Czech glass beads dangle below. The deep red glass glows when the light hits it and makes a great contrast with the silver. The bead has a lovely cut: the middle band is cut in facets; the top and bottom has cut lines that radiate from the point to the faceted band. The glass bead is nestled between two sterling silver bead caps. I added a corrugated sterling silver bead right above the glass bead, and a tiny seed bead below. Wires and ear wires are sterling silver.
SIZE: These earrings hang just under 2 inches. The silver rings are about 5/8 inch in diameter. The glass bead measures almost 3/8 inch wide. Each earring weighs about 2 grams.
