I took one look at this amazing Maligano Jasper and fell in love with the abstract image of a sailboat sailing into a golden sunset. I designed the setting with that golden sunset in mind. I added a 5mm Golden Citrine on top and three 18K gold dots on the hand cut and riveted bail. I cut out an ocean scene in the back, complete with sailboat and setting sun (and a rising moon as well)! And for those November children - Citrine is one of November's birthstones!

PROPERTIES OF STONES (information compiled from various sources): Maligano Jasper is a fairly "new" jasper (as in recently discovered). It is found in Indonesia and forms in ancient volcanic hot spring areas. Jasper in general is considered to be the "supreme nurturer." It is said to bring tranquility and wholeness, especially in times of stress as well as provide courage and stimulate the imagination. Citrine is said to energize and encourage mental clarity. It is supposed to raise self-esteem and confidence, and help attract wealth and success. Citrine is one of November's birthstones.
