These earrings feature soft blue translucent Czech glass disc shaped beads. Each one has an owl impressed into it, which has been washed with gold-bronze color. When light shines through, the owl is especially visible. I added a little faceted Lapis Lazuli bead under the glass owl bead, and a round Lapis Lazuli bead and another faceted Lapis bead above it. Bronze bead caps surround the round Lapis Lazuli bead. The wires are bronze; the ear wires are Niobium, which is considered one of the least allergenic metals.
SIZE: These earrings hang just under 1 3/4 inches. The glass beads have a diameter of just over 1/2 inch; the round Lapis beads are 6mm (not quite 1/4 inch). Each earring weighs about 2 grams.

Although Lapis Lazuli is not on the modern birthstone list, it was traditionally one of December's birthstones (turquoise was the other).
