Plume Agate Pendant, with Druzy, Sterling Silver

Share:
This is a rather large pendant - a real statement piece! The stone is a plume agate, possibly a Graveyard Point agate although I am not 100% certain of that. It has wonderful white and pale brown patterns against a grey-blue agate background. Best of all are the little druzy pockets scattered across the top. I decided to mimic the druzy with a combination of melted and sanded silver dust and randomly placed fine silver balls. I also added a strip of textured fine silver along the top of the stone, mirroring the white pattern just below it.

Something about this stone made me think of wind blowing; I pictured a feather floating and twisting in that wind. That's what you'll see behind the stone when you turn the pendant over.

The bail is hand cut and riveted. I melted silver dust and a few little balls on the bail to match the rest of the pendant.

SIZE: This pendant hangs about 2 1/2 inches and is just over 1 1/4 inches wide. This pendant is sold without a chain. I offer a variety of chains and cords which can be purchased separately. It is pictured here with a sterling wheat chain.
